ISLAMABAD: Pakistan successfully conducted a training fire of the indigenously developed Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile on Thursday, ISPR said. According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release on Thursday, the missile is equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigation systems and is capable of striking long-range targets with high precision. The training fire was conducted by the Pakistan Army Rocket Force Command to enhance the operational readiness of troops and validate the technical performance of various subsystems designed to improve the missile&rsquo;s accuracy and survivability. Senior officers of the Pakistan Army Rocket Force Command, along with scientists and engineers from the missile&rsquo;s development agency, witnessed the training launch. The president, prime minister, COAS &amp; CDF, Chief of Naval Staff and Chief of the Air Staff congratulated the scientists, engineers and troops involved in the successful test. They praised the technical expertise, dedication and commitment of all those who contributed to the development and successful training fire of the Fatah-series missile system, ISPR said.

In a statement, the military&rsquo;s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations, said the operations took place on April 28 and 29 in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. &ldquo;Thirteen khwarij belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khwarij were killed in two foiled infiltration attempts along Pakistan-Afghanistan border,&rdquo; the statement said. The latest engagements come amid continued security tensions along the border, following weeks of cross-border military operations under Operation Ghazab lil Haq and ongoing diplomatic efforts between Islamabad and Kabul, including talks facilitated through China. Two infiltration attempts foiledAccording to the military, the first operation took place in Mohmand district, where security forces detected the movement of a group attempting to cross into Pakistan. &ldquo;Own troops effectively engaged this group of khwarij. As a result of precise and skillful engagement, eight khwarij&hellip; were sent to hell,&rdquo; the statement said. A second infiltration attempt was foiled in North Waziristan, where Pakistani troops engaged another group after what the military described as an intense exchange of fire. &ldquo;Five khwarij were neutralized,&rdquo; ISPR said. The military said sanitization operations were ongoing in both areas to clear any remaining threats. &lsquo;Failure of Afghan Taliban regime&rsquo;The military said the incidents reinforced Pakistan&rsquo;s longstanding position regarding security concerns along the border. &ldquo;These engagements once again substantiate Pakistan&rsquo;s repeated stance regarding abject failure of Afghan Taliban regime to ensure effective border management on their side,&rdquo; the statement said. It called on Afghan authorities to &ldquo;fulfil their obligations&rdquo; and deny the use of Afghan territory for terrorism against Pakistan. Pakistan uses the term &ldquo;Fitna al-Khawarij&rdquo; in official communication to refer to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), drawing on a historical term associated with violent extremism and rebellion against legitimate authority. Cross-border firingThe military statement follows remarks by Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, who earlier in the day described recent cross-border shelling from Afghanistan as &ldquo;very disturbing.&rdquo; &ldquo;In the border areas of South Waziristan adjacent to Bannu district&hellip; Afghan forces carried out unprovoked firing and shelling on April 26 and 29, targeting civilian populations,&rdquo; Andrabi said during a weekly briefing on Thursday. He said several civilians were injured and houses damaged, including women and children. &ldquo;Local tribal elders and residents have expressed serious concern over these incidents,&rdquo; he said. The latest operations form part of Pakistan&rsquo;s wider counterterrorism campaign under Azm-e-Istehkam, which officials say complements cross-border operations aimed at reducing the operational capacity of terrorist networks. Pakistani officials have said recent military pressure has contributed to a decline in violence inside the country, even as infiltration attempts and sporadic attacks continue along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Authorities say both military operations and diplomatic engagement remain active, with Islamabad maintaining that any durable peace depends on &ldquo;visible and verifiable&rdquo; action by Afghan authorities to curb terrorist activity originating from their territory.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan military, in an operation conducted on 21 April in the northwest of the country, killed 22 terrorists, said a press release issued by the military&rsquo;s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday. &ldquo;On 21 April 2026, a joint intelligence-based operation was conducted by security forces and law enforcement agencies in Khyber District on reported presence of khwarij (terrorists).&rdquo; During the conduct of the operation, after intense exchange of fire and skillful engagements by forces, 22 terrorists, belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij, were killed, the press release said. &ldquo;Due to cowardice and fear of getting apprehended alive, terrorists resorted to indiscriminate firing, which resulted in martyrdom of a ten years old innocent child,&rdquo; the statement added. &ldquo;Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Indian-sponsored terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.&rdquo; Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision &ldquo;Azm e Istehkam&rdquo; (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country and such sacrifice of our innocent civilians further strengthen our resolve, the press release said.

Pakistan Navy conducts live firing of indigenous ship-launched anti-ship missile

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy and the Chinese People&#39;s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy concluded &#39;Sea Guardian IV&#39; exercise, held from March 25 to April 1, 2026, to enhance interoperability and maritime cooperation, the military&rsquo;s media wing said on Wednesday.&nbsp;&ldquo;The exercise concluded with a coordinated patrol in the Arabian Sea, reaffirming both navies&rsquo; commitment to regional maritime security and stability,&rdquo; according to the ISPR.&nbsp;The exercise included air defense drills against multi-domain swarm threats, submarine operations with the Pakistan Navy, conventional war-at-sea exercises, and live gunnery firing to enhance operational and tactical coordination.&nbsp;During the port visit, PLA Navy Ship &#39;DAQING&#39; was welcomed by PNS TAIMUR, with activities including exchange visits, naval orientations, professional discussions, and a maiden Young Officers Seminar.&nbsp;&ldquo;The exercise included a five-day port phase in Karachi and a two-day sea phase in the North Arabian Sea,&rdquo; it concluded.

Pakistan and China concluded the seven-day Sea Guardian IV exercise, featuring coordinated Arabian Sea patrols, air defense drills, submarine operations, gunnery firing, and a port visit, enhancing interoperability, maritime cooperation, and regional security.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani security forces killed 13 terrorists during two intelligence-based operations in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military announced on Wednesday.&nbsp;According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted on Monday, March 30, in Khyber and Bannu districts.&nbsp; In the first operation in Khyber&#39;s&nbsp;Bara area, 10 terrorists were killed after an intense exchange of fire. Three more terrorists were neutralized in a separate operation in Bannu, the statement added.&nbsp;Security forces have launched sanitization operations to clear the areas of any remaining terrorists.&nbsp;The military said the operations are part of an ongoing counter-terrorism campaign aimed at eliminating <a href="https://www.pakistantv.com/article/operation-ghazab-lilhaq-435-killed-as-pakistan-strikes-afghan-targets" target="_blank" style="color:#0073e6;" rel="noopener noreferrer">foreign-sponsored terrorism</a> from the country. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised security for the successful operations. &ldquo;Our security forces are like a solid wall against terrorism to protect the country.&rdquo;&nbsp;He said the government is determined to eliminate terrorism from the country.

13 terrorists killed in northwest Pakistan operations: Military

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has stressed that terrorists operating from sanctuaries across the border in Afghanistan will not be allowed to undermine Pakistan&rsquo;s security. The CDF made the remarks during his visit to Kurram, where he spent Eid-ul-Fitr with troops and officers, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday. He offered Eid prayers with soldiers and prayed for the country&rsquo;s peace, stability and prosperity. Interacting with officers and troops, the CDF extended Eid greetings and praised their high morale, professionalism and unwavering commitment in safeguarding the nation. He commended the troops for their performance in Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, noting that the operation is focused on dismantling terrorist networks and ensuring lasting peace in border regions. Reaffirming Pakistan&rsquo;s stance, the CDF said Afghan soil must not be used by hostile elements to carry out activities against Pakistan, while underscoring the country&rsquo;s commitment to regional peace and stability. Paying tribute to the martyrs, he said the success of ongoing operations is rooted in the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and the determination of officers and jawans. He also expressed pride in the troops&rsquo; steadfastness and reiterated the armed forces&rsquo; resolve to defend Pakistan&rsquo;s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Upon arrival, the CDF was received by the Corps Commander Peshawar, the ISPR said.

Pakistan will not allow Afghan-based terrorists to threaten its security, says CDF

ISLAMABAD: Marking the seventh anniversary of Operation Swift Retort, Pakistan&rsquo;s armed forces on Friday reaffirmed their readiness to counter any threats and pledged unwavering commitment to national security and regional peace, according to a press release issued by the military&rsquo;s media wing. &nbsp;&ldquo;On the 7th anniversary of Operation Swift Retort, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, COAS and CDF; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff, on behalf of Pakistan&rsquo;s Armed Forces, pay tribute to the courage, professionalism, and sacrifices of their personnel,&rdquo; the press release issued on Friday by the Pakistan military&rsquo;s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations <a href="https://www.pakistantv.com/article/pakistan-responds-afghan-border-fire" target="_blank" style="color:#0073e6;" rel="noopener noreferrer">(ISPR)</a>, said. It said, &ldquo;Launched on 27 Feb. 2019, Operation Swift Retort was a decisive response to India&#39;s unprovoked aggression, reaffirming Pakistan&#39;s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty.&rdquo;The statement said, &ldquo;The operation showcased the operational excellence and readiness of the Armed Forces, effectively deterring further aggression and restoring <a href="https://www.pakistantv.com/article/nine-indiabacked-terrorists-killed-in-pakistans-kp-province-military" target="_blank" style="color:#0073e6;" rel="noopener noreferrer">strategic balance</a>.&rdquo; &ldquo;The Field Marshal and Service Chiefs reiterated their unwavering commitment to Pakistan&#39;s national security and regional peace, emphasizing the readiness of the Armed Forces to counter any threats,&rdquo; the ISPR&rsquo;s statement said.&nbsp; &ldquo;They reaffirmed that Pakistan&#39;s military remains vigilant, ensuring the protection of the nation while actively contributing to global stability and peace,&rdquo; it added.
