ISLAMABAD: The United Nations Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia, Miguel Angel Moratinos, called on Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday.
During the meeting, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister commended the Special Envoy for his efforts to address the challenge of Islamophobia and expressed Pakistan's full support for his mandate, said a post shared on X on Monday by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He also expressed hope that the early finalization of the United Nations Action Plan to Combat Islamophobia would provide the necessary framework for combating Islamophobia worldwide.
The deputy prime minister and foreign minister also commended the role of United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on the subject.
