ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday expressed condolences over the loss of life caused by severe floods and landslides in Bangladesh, as he extended Pakistan's solidarity to the South Asian country.
In a post on X, the prime minister said he was "deeply saddened by the tragic loss of life and widespread devastation caused by the severe floods and landslides in Bangladesh."
"On behalf of the people of Pakistan, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and express our unwavering solidarity with the Government and people of Bangladesh," he said.
"We pray for the swift recovery of the injured and the safety of all those affected," the premier added.
