PM Shehbaz, Qatar Construction Group founder discuss investment opportunities in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday met a delegation led by Muhammad Hussain Al Ali, founder of Qatar’s Construction Group, to discuss potential investment opportunities in Pakistan’s key economic sectors.


According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister Ahad Khan Cheema, Attaullah Tarar, Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani, and senior government officials.


During the meeting, Sharif described Qatar as a long-standing friend of Pakistan, which has consistently supported Pakistan in difficult times. 


He said the government is prioritizing foreign investment and has removed obstacles under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).


The prime minister said Pakistan offers significant investment potential in tourism, hospitality, real estate and construction, and directed officials to extend full facilitation to the visiting group.


Muhammad Hussain Al Ali expressed deep interest in increasing the group's investment in Pakistan. 


He commended the measures taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Sharif for the country's development and increasing business and foreign investment.


He said that under the leadership of the prime minister, the government in Pakistan is taking positive steps to facilitate investors under SIFC.
