ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s premier, while strongly condemning the attack by Fitna Al-Khawarij terrorists on a police training center in the northwestern town of Dera Ismail Khan, said that “such cowardly acts by terrorists cannot weaken our resolve against terrorism.”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while lauding the sacrifices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in the war against terrorism, vowed to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country, said a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday.
The prime minister paid tribute to the seven police personnel martyred while bravely confronting the terrorists.
‘On the front line’
Sharif also prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and expressed condolences to their families.
He also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured and instructed that they be provided with all possible medical assistance.
“The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have always been on the front line in the war against terrorism,” the prime minister said.
“The entire nation salutes the martyrs,” he said.
