ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's security forces killed two terrorists in a successful intelligence-led operation in the Washik Plantak area of southwestern Balochistan, security sources said on Monday.
According to the sources, the terrorists were involved in the attack on the Mashkel Police Station and the Custom House.
The terrorists' vehicle was destroyed in the operation, while heavy weapons and ammunition were also recovered.
“The recovered weapons and ammunition were to be used in targeted killings of the unarmed Baloch people and other terrorist acts,” the sources said.
“Security forces will continue operations until the complete elimination of Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists from Balochistan,” they added.
Pakistani authorities officially use the term Fitna al-Hindustan to refer to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army, which Islamabad says receives external backing to carry out attacks aimed at destabilizing the country.
