Security forces eliminate 10 terrorists in Pakistan's northwest operations: Military

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were carried out on Thursday in South Waziristan and Dir districts, targeting Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khwarij. Eight militants were killed after attempting to attack security forces' checkposts in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan district.

Floods in northwest Pakistan leave 12 dead, contingency plan activated

The ongoing rain spell, which began on July 19, is severely impacting several regions including Mansehra, Khyber, Upper Chitral and Peshawar. According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the heavy downpours are expected to persist until July 23.
