No official source spoke to foreign media on Gulf situation: Intelligence sources to Pakistan TV Digital

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani intelligence officials have issued a sharp rebuttal to foreign media reports regarding military developments in the Gulf, explicitly denying any contact with foreign news outlets on the matter.

The response comes after a story published by German news outlet Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) via Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa), citing alleged "Islamabad security circles," claimed Pakistani intelligence was assessing the likelihood of a US ground offensive in Iran.

Speaking exclusively to Pakistan TV Digital, Pakistani intelligence sources firmly rejected the report and the attributions made within it.

"No Pakistani intelligence or official source has spoken to any foreign media outlet on the situation in the Gulf," said the source. "All attributions to 'Pakistani sources' are fictional, imaginary and self-invented."

Official sources reiterated that Islamabad’s position on regional security matters is communicated strictly through formal and authorized state channels, cautioning against the reliance on fabricated attributions amidst delicate regional dynamics.
