ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is presenting a range of high-quality, value-added products such as textiles, apparel, home textiles, leather goods, and sportswear at the International Textile Exhibition, Texworld NYC 2026. The event is taking place at the prestigious Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, where global buyers and businesses can explore these offerings.
According to a statement issued by the Press Information Department (PID) in Islamabad on Wednesday, Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, formally inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion.
"On this occasion, Pakistan's Consul General in New York, Amir Ahmed Atuzai, and Trade and Investment Counselor Adnan Mahmood Awan were also present," the statement added.
The Pakistan Pavilion has been organized in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Trade and Investment Wing of the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York.
"Five prominent Pakistani companies are exhibiting home textiles, towels, ready-made garments, leather garments, sportswear, gloves, and other value-added products at the pavilion."
Following the inauguration, the Ambassador of Pakistan and his accompanying delegation visited various stalls at the Pakistan Pavilion, met with representatives of the participating Pakistani companies, and reviewed their products.
The statement further said that business opportunities in the US market, market access, export promotion, and prospects for trade cooperation were also discussed with the Pakistani exporters.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said that the Government of Pakistan, the Pakistani Embassy in Washington, and the Consulate General in New York would continue to provide all possible support to Pakistani exporters to enhance their access to the US market.
He also reaffirmed the government's commitment to continuing coordinated efforts to further expand trade relations between Pakistan and the United States, increase exports, and strengthen the global presence of the "Made in Pakistan" brand.
The statement further added that during the three-day exhibition, Pakistani companies will also hold business-to-business (B2B) meetings with global buyers, importers, and industry representatives.
These meetings are expected to pave the way for new trade partnerships, business connections, and potential export agreements.
