Wangchuk’s hunger strike over paper leaks continues to go unheard in India

ISLAMABAD: According to the narrative, Sonam Wangchuk, the Ladakhi engineer and climate activist who inspired the character Phunsukh Wangdu in 3 Idiots, is on a prolonged hunger strike in Delhi, demanding accountability over an alleged education exam paper leak scandal. 

The protest has drawn widespread support from opposition leaders, actors, authors, and activists, who are urging the government to engage in dialogue and prevent further deterioration of his health. 

The movement highlights concerns over education governance, student welfare, and public accountability, while framing Wangchuk's fast as a moral appeal for justice following the reported impact of exam leaks on thousands of students.
