ISLAMABAD: Pakistan cruised past Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the T20 tri-series as Sahibzada Farhan smashed an unbeaten 80 off 45 balls in Rawalpindi on Saturday.
Sri Lanka, still reeling from a heavy opening loss to Zimbabwe, mustered only 128-7 after opting to bat, with Mohammad Nawaz’s 3-16 and Abrar Ahmed’s control squeezing the innings.
Farhan attacked from the start, powering Pakistan to 47 in five overs before steering a 69-run stand with Babar Azam. Despite two late strikes from Dushmantha Chameera, Pakistan wrapped up the chase in 15.3 overs at 131-3.
Captain Salman Ali Agha hailed a “complete game” as Pakistan secured their second straight win, while Sri Lanka’s struggles continued across formats on a difficult tour.
