The meeting between and Gulf countries over the reopening of Hormuz was postponed on Sunday after Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi said that the decision was taken in the interest of consensus.


US President Donald Trump said he did not "care" about the proposed meeting to discuss the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing conflict with Tehran.


Meanwhile, the Iranian preside President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran would "not surrender” to US pressure, stating that Washington was waging war on "civilian infrastructure, food supplies, and livelihoods.” 


Separately, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday reiterated Islamabad's “strongest condemnation” of the Houthi attacks targeting civilian and economic infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. 


During a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, PM Sharif conveyed Pakistan’s “complete solidarity” with the Saudi leadership and people, saying the attacks threatened regional peace and stability and could have “serious consequences for the global economy and energy security.”


Iranian President Pezeshkian also said that relations between the United Arab Emirates and Tehran were at the point where both countries wanted to "turn the page." 


"For the first time since the war and the incidents that occurred in the Persian Gulf, we had a constructive exchange with the crown prince of Abu Dhabi," Pezeshkian said a day after a meeting with Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in India.
