ISLAMABAD: The Afghan chargé d’affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sunday night and "a strong demarche" was issued regarding the Karachi terrorist attack, said a statement issued by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday.

In response to media queries regarding Pakistan’s demarche to theAfghan Taliban Regime following the Karachi terrorist attack, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tahir Andrabi, stated the following: "The Afghan chargé d’affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs last night and a strong demarche was issued regarding the Karachi terrorist attack."

"A similar demarche was conveyed by Pakistan’s Ambassador Mr Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani, to the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs," he said.

Ambassador Andrabi said, "These demarches were issued in light of the fact that Afghan nationals, including one apprehended alive, participated in this attack, proving yet again that Afghan soil and Afghan nationals continue to be used to orchestrate terrorist attacks inside Pakistan.”
