ISLAMABAD: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces for timely foiling Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists’ operation in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district.

Pakistani authorities officially use the term Fitna al-Hindustan to refer to proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) which Islamabad says receives external backing from India to carry out attacks aimed at destabilizing the country.

According to a statement issued by the president’s X account, the president said that the “destruction of two vehicles laden with explosives belonging” was a manifestation of the security forces' “high professional competence.”

“The nation takes pride in its brave security forces for foiling the nefarious designs of terrorist elements active under Indian patronage,” President Zardari said as per the statement.

“Actions should continue until the complete eradication of terrorism taking place in the country under foreign patronage,” he added.

Pakistan security forces neutralized four Indian-sponsored terrorists and destroyed two explosive laden vehicles belonging to the proxy group Fitna al Hindustan in country’s southwestern province Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said earlier.

According to a statement issued on X, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Khuzdar district on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy.

“During the operation, movement of two explosives-laden vehicles configured as Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs) along with terrorists were proactively intercepted,” ISPR said.

The media’s military affairs wing said that after a swift and prompt action by security forces, both vehicles were successfully destroyed along with neutralizing four militants operating them.

“Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area,” it said, adding that relentless counter terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” will continue at full pace to “wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.”
