ISLAMABAD: 148 Afghan nationals involved in terrorist activities inside Pakistan have been killed since 2022, according to data compiled by Pakistan TV Digital.
The figures include those involved in attacks on civilians and armed forces, including the suicide bombers who have killed hundreds of innocent Pakistanis.
In 2026 alone, terrorism emanating from Afghan soil has martyred 1,327 Pakistanis and injured 2,484 others.
Despite this, the Taliban regime continues to deny responsibility for waging a proxy war against Pakistan, fully sponsored by India.
These Afghan nationals had been identified by name and address, and their funerals were held in their native villages in Afghanistan and were attended by officials of the Taliban regime.
The figures include only those Afghan nationals whose identities could be established, while other unidentified Afghan terrorists killed in Pakistan were left out.
At least 60 to 70% of members in almost every TTP infiltration group are Afghan nationals, proving that Afghan nationals are playing an increasing role in cross-border attacks.
The Taliban regime has equipped the TTP and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) with weapons and equipment left behind by NATO and US forces in Afghanistan.
Fighters linked to the groups are now carrying M4 rifles, Remington sniper rifles and US-made night-vision devices.
Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Taliban regime not to allow terrorist groups to operate from Afghan soil and to wage a proxy war against Pakistan, while Kabul has denied the allegations.
