ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the People’s Majlis of the Maldives Abdul Raheem Abdullah called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, including regional security and bilateral cooperation, were discussed, said a news release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The CDF underscored the importance Pakistan attaches to its brotherly relations with the Maldives and reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening these ties for the mutual benefit of both countries.
Abdul Raheem Abdullah appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and expressed his desire to deepen bilateral engagement and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
