US President Donald Trump has said that hopefully the conflict between Washington and Tehran was towards the “end of war,” stating that Iran wanted to make a deal.
“Iran is very much wanting to make it (deal).,” Trump said while speaking to reporters upon arrival in North Carolina.
“We'll see how that works out,” he said.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has said that de-escalation must be a priority at this critical moment in the Middle East, stating that any actions that harm civilians must stop.
"Humanitarian operations must proceed safely and without obstruction,” Guterres said in a post on X.
"Navigational rights and freedoms must be fully restored and respected," he said, adding that the only path forward was "de-escalation, diplomacy and dialogue.”
