Oil prices to drop 'precipitously' after US wins Iran war: Trump

US President Donald Trump has said that oil prices will "drop precipitously," like everything else when Washington wins the war with Iran. 


"Three Dollars a gallon, but ultimately, below two dollars a gallon," the president said in a post on X. 


"It will all happen quickly, and Iran will never have a nuclear weapon," he said.



Economic warfare will result in maritime exclusion zone across Persian Gulf: Iranian official

Iran's top security official Mohsen Rezaei said that Washington has received a clear warning from new missiles, adding that economic warfare will be met by a maritime exclusion zone across the Persian Gulf to the blockade perimeter.


"The operational posture toward US warships and bases has been fundamentally recalibrated," Rezaei said in a post on X.

Continuing diplomatic efforts to establish peace in the region, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran Imran Ahmed Siddiqui emphasized that Islamabad strongly believed diplomacy, dialogue, and confidence-building were the most effective means for resolving disputes. 


Meanwhile, International Atomic Energy Agency head Rafael Grossi said giving the UN nuclear agency access to key nuclear facilities in Iran would have "positive repercussions" for Tehran.


While condemning statement issued by Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand and Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne, Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said that the statement distorted "every fact about the situation in our region."


"This is neither 'diplomacy' nor 'responsible statecraft'. It is a display of strategic confusion and submission to intimidation — choice that will not even shield Canada itself from American bullying and aggression," Baqaei said.


Separately, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for the expulsion of the British ambassador from the country, stating that Tel Aviv would "not be a doormat trampled by an antisemitic government."


"The British mandate in the land of Israel is over," he said.
