ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy has launched a major maritime exercise, SEASPARK-2026, in Karachi, bringing together naval, air and ground forces to test the military’s readiness against conventional and emerging maritime threats, according to the military media wing.
The Naval Chief presided over the exercise’s opening briefing, attended by senior officers from across Pakistan’s armed forces.
The exercise integrates Pakistan Navy ships, submarines, aircraft, unmanned systems, marines and special forces with elements from the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force. It is designed to assess the forces’ ability to operate jointly and respond to a changing maritime security environment.
Earlier, the Chief of the Naval Staff visited Pakistan Navy Fleet units and reviewed ongoing operations.
Addressing officers and men, he stressed that the evolving security environment demands uncompromising readiness, enhanced tri-service integration, adaptability and effectiveness across physical and information domains.
SEASPARK-2026 focuses on rehearsing multi-domain operations that combine maritime, air, land, cyber, and space-enabled capabilities. The exercise also incorporates operations in the information environment, aiming to strengthen the military’s ability to compete in the information battle space alongside kinetic operations at sea.
The exercise comes as Pakistan’s armed forces continue to emphasize integrated operations and preparedness for threats spanning conventional and emerging domains.
The Navy said the exercise will provide an opportunity to evaluate operational concepts, interoperability and the effectiveness of joint forces across physical and information environments.
